SNG Honored with 2017 Travel Weekly Magellan Award - Silver Winner for Hospitality, Overall - Special Needs

Special Needs Group was recently named as a Silver Winner of the 2017 Travel Weekly Magellan Award for Hospitality, in the Overall – Special Needs category.  SNG’s entry, “Travel – The Ultimate Freedom,” was honored amongst a broad range of the travel industry segments.  The Travel Weekly Magellan Awards recognizes the best in travel and salutes the outstanding travel professionals behind it all. 

The judging panel is comprised of top travel industry professionals.  Winners of this year’s Megellan Awards will be featured in an a special of the October 2017 issue of Travel Weekly.  Travel Weekly and TravelWeekly.com are the most influential Business to Business news resources for the travel industry.  The publication and e-publication deliver all the late-breaking news, analysis and research that travel professionals need to succeed.  As the most influential business publication in the industry, Travel Weekly and TravelWeekly.com provide travel professionals with a necessary global perspective through in-depth coverage of every business sector, including airline, car rental, cruise, destination, hotel and tour operator as well as technology, economic and governmental issues.

The 2017 Magellan Award is extremely special as the year marks the 10th Anniversary of SNG meeting its mission statement of Delivering and Accessible World.  In addition, Special Needs Group will celebrate the 6th Anniversary of the Certified Accessible Travel Advocate e-course.  The CATA program is the travel industry’s first eLearning curriculum which allows travel professionals to become conversant with the accessible travel market segment.  The 65-minute, 3-module, certification course is designed to increase our travel partners’ knowledge, skill sets and earning opportunities in the accessible travel/special needs market.
