According to the LOCOG (London Olympic Games Organizing Committee) Chief Executive, Paul Deighton, the 2012 London games are promising to be the “most diverse and inclusive Games possible.” As a testament to this promise, there are a variety of accommodations and resources available for special needs travelers. Inside the venue, attendees with special needs and/or limited mobility will have access to the complimentary Games Mobility service for assistance getting around.
Keep in mind that, once in London, there will be massive crowds throughout the city. The official London Olympics website warns that public transport systems may be under pressure, so be sure to plan accordingly.
