SPECIAL NEEDS AT SEA DONATES POWERCHAIR TO CAMILLUS HOUSE CHARITY

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, USA – Special Needs at Sea, the company which fulfills mobility and health needs to the cruising public worldwide, kicked off its involvement with the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA) Cruise3sixty Travel Trade Show, by sponsoring The Cruise and Travel Agents Only dinner. At the dinner, the CEO of Special Needs at Sea also made a surprise donation of a power wheelchair to Camillus House of Miami, a non-profit shelter for the poor and homeless of South Florida.

At the event in Fort Lauderdale, Special Needs at Sea CEO, Andrew J. Garnett, presented the power wheelchair to former Carnival Cruise Lines CEO, Bob Dickinson, who accepted the donation on behalf of Camillus House. The power wheelchair will be used to provide needed mobility and handicap access for the homeless program.

“We are proud to extend our support to the Camillus House, an important South Florida institution, and are happy to play a part in expanding opportunities for the disabled and homeless,” Garnett said. “I can think of no better way to start this event than with a donation of this power chair to those who need it most.”

Camillus House has been providing humanitarian services to the poor and homeless of South Florida since 1960 and has been a leader in providing primary health care services to the homeless and low-income populations of Miami-Dade County.
