Special Needs Group announces Certification Milestone
2,500 SNG Certified Accessible Travel Advocates®
Fort Lauderdale, FL – November 13th, 2015….On the 4th Anniversary of the introduction of the Travel Industry’s 1st Certification program designed to assist Travel Professionals serve those with Special Needs and Disabilities, SNG President and CEO Andrew J. Garnett made the following statement:
“I am ecstatic to announce that our mission of Delivering an Accessible World has been fortified by 2,500 SNG Certified Accessible Travel Advocates®. These professionals have successfully completed our 3 module Series and testing requirements. As such, they are better positioned to add incremental value to consumers, differentiate themselves as true Industry Professionals and serve the needs of the fastest growing Global demographic. In the process, they have qualified for 5 CLIA Certification credits.”
Garnett continued: “This is an example of an Industry embracing a cause with passion and voracity. It is with sincere gratitude that we thank those Partners on both the Agent/Agency distribution side of the business and our Supplier Allies who have embraced our vison with equal commitment. These partnerships have facilitated the expansion of our original business footprint of exclusively serving the Cruise Industry. We now serve leading Domestic and International Leisure/Meetings destinations such as Las Vegas, Orlando, The Dominican Republic, the Yucatan Peninsula, Italy, Paris and Kobe, Japan, to name but a few. We will serve over 150 cities/port cities in over 35 countries in 2015.”
“Special recognition is warranted for 2,500 Travel Professionals who recognize that Travel aspirations are the birthright of all and that some folks simply require products and services outside of traditional parameters. For all of the power of technology, Leisure Travel is still very much a case of “people doing business with people”. Our Certified Accessible Travel Advocates® are stellar examples of Travel Professionals who have adapted and become sources for true value and expertise” Garnett concluded.
