SNG Destination Spotlight: MSC's New Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve
MSc's Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, located in the Bahamas is a private island located off the Bimini Islands and 65 miles from Miami, is exclusively for MSC guests. Ocean Cay will be officially inaugurated on November 9th as the scheduled port-of-call for those sailing from New York to Miami on the MSC Meraviglia. The MSC Armonia, Divina, Seaside and aforementioned Meraviglia will make weekly visits to the island on separate days.
Ocean Cay is largely accessible and is the biggest Caribben private island development by a cruise ship company. When the MSC cruise vessel is docked, guests will have the ability to disembark with Wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters for use on the hard surfaces across the island.
The $200 million developmental island has a self-service restaurant which offers food at a nominal cost. Additional restaurants and bars are located throughout the property. Live music and entertainment will be hosted in the 2,000-seat amphitheater. Electricity require for all land operations is generated by solar panels.
