About Us

Special Needs at Sea, a Special Needs Group, Inc. company, is dedicated to fulfilling the special needs requirements for persons who want to travel but may need mobility aides, oxygen or other equipment. We make travel easy, comfortable and accessible.  Our trained delivery agents in 135 cities across 30 countries around the globe help us fulfill this mission.  We have become the undisputed industry leader in cruise rentals as the ONLY company referred by all major cruise lines.

Since our inception, we’ve served the needs of thousands of men, women and children. Our mission grew out of our own passion for travel coupled with a conviction that the fun and adventure of traveling the world should be available to everyone, despite physical challenges.

We have become a valued resource to the traveling public and all major cruise lines.  Our partnerships with the cruise lines have lead to expanded opportunities for travel and a streamlined process for equipment delivery.  Not resting on our laurels, we continue to strive to push the envelope and further revolutionize special needs travel.  We have launched the first in the world Certified Accessible Travel Advocate program that trains travel agents the world over how to address the needs of slow walkers and disabled travelers.  Just another example of how Special Needs Group is the company for mobility scooter rentals and more.

Special Needs at Sea provides a broad range of special needs equipment including wheelchair, power chair and scooter rentals, oxygen units and oxygen rentals, audio and visual aide rentals, baby crib rentals and other essential items. For our customers’ convenience, rental equipment is delivered directly to the cruise state room, the hotel or at the airport.

With each delivery and pick-up, we experience the satisfaction of knowing we’ve just made someone’s trip more enjoyable, and perhaps even possible.

Special Needs at Sea is the only preferred accessibility supplier for CLIA, the world's largest cruise line association.
