Respiratory Oxygen for Rental
Cylinders, Liquid Oxygen (Limited), Portable Oxygen Concentrators, Stationary Oxygen Concentrators, and Hi-Flow Oxygen Concentrators
The medical needs of travelers can vary greatly – some individuals may only need oxygen while sleeping, while others may require it during physical activity, and still others may need oxygen assistance with every breath. Few things can be more disconcerting to a passenger than worrying about how to use a different type of oxygen than is utilized at home.
Rather than force a one-size-fits-all approach, Special Needs Group/Special Needs at Sea is certified and licensed to carry all types of oxygen portable systems and units. We have everything from traditional gaseous oxygen cylinders in a variety of types and sizes to liquid oxygen systems to the newest Personal Oxygen Concentrators (POCs) available for rent. Additionally, our staff is trained to ask the right questions up front to ensure passengers get the portable oxygen rental they need and, most importantly, delivered using a method they know and understand.
We further extend the peace of mind by delivering the oxygen portable equipment rentals directly to the stateroom before sailing. We’ll also pick up your rental oxygen concentrator, cylinders, or liquid oxygen system at disembarkation. This makes the entire travel experience easier and less stressful.
Please note that due to the fact that all portable oxygen tank rental orders require a doctor’s prescription, all respiratory oxygen rentals for travel must be ordered over the phone and prescriptions must be faxed or mailed. Please contact us at 1-954-585-0575 or 1-800-513-4515 for more details about your rental oxygen machine, portable oxygen concentrator, cylinders, or liquid oxygen.
The Rx from the guest’s Dr. needs to indicate the number of Liters Per Minute (LPM), and Hours Per Day (HPD) of Oxygen required.
If the guest requires a Humidifier Bottle for use with the Oxygen Concentrator, please our Customer Service Specialist at the time the order is placed. (Only applies to USA and Vancouver Canada rentals.)
For those guests traveling with a Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC), please check with your respective airline as most airline’s require you to have time and a half battery life for the duration of your flight, in addition to an Rx.
