New for 2017: Silversea Silver Muse

Silversea’s Silver Muse will make its maiden voyage on April 10th when the boutique ship embarks on an eight day sailing round trip from Monte Carlo, Monaco.  The cruise line’s newest flagship of the fleet combines sophisticated Italian design with Silversea’s world-renowned ultra-luxury.  The boutique-sized Silver Muse enables the 596-guest vessel the ability to visit ports which large cruise ships do not have the ability of accessing.

The cruise line’s newest vessel will replace Silver Cloud as Silversea’s Main Fleet flagship.  Silver Cloud’s final voyage will be a Baltic sailing from Stockholm to Copenhagen in August of this year before undergoing extensive renovation in order to become “ice-class” and join the Expedition Fleet along with soon-to-be sister-ships Silver Discoverer, Silver Explorer and Silver Galapagos. Silversea Silver Muse, a suite-only vessel, will join other Main Fleet members – Silver Shadow, Silver Spirit, Silver Whisper and Silver Wind.

The smallest of Silver Muse’s suites are spacious at 323 square-feet including a 64-square foot private balcony; the largest of suites is the Grand Suite two-bedroom configuration totaling 1,970 square-feet along with a 635-foot veranda.  Silversea Silver Muse will offer the largest accommodation suites and connecting suites of the fleet to allow groups of family and friends to travel seamlessly.   In addition to personalized butler service accompanying all 298 suites, there are complimentary stocked mini bars with guest’s preference, the finest in European bath amenities and bed linens, premium mattresses as well as marble bathrooms.

Sans a Main Dining Room, Silversea’s newest vessel will offer seven all-inclusive dining options along with La Dame.  La Dame, an upscale fine dining experience by reservation only, is the only Relais & Chateaux restaurant at sea.  The exclusive partnership with the French gourmet restaurateur will provide guests the opportunity to enjoy multicourse French cuisine.

Other inclusive dining options include the Asian-inspired Kabuki and Idochine; Kabuki is an intimate setting offering sushi and sashimi by day and turning into a Japanese-style performance by chefs on teppanyaki iron grills in the evening.  The more spacious Idochine will serve Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indian and Indonesian fare.  Other venues include – Atlantide a modern bar and grill featuring mainly crab and lobsters with a glorious view of the passing scenery, and the unique Silver Note with its jazz-club atmosphere, tapa dishes, live music and dance floor.  The poolside pizzeria La Terraza, the indoor/outdoor Regina Marghertia and Hot Rocks where guests’ meals are cooked on 450 degree lava stone make up the outdoor eateries.

The space-to-guest ratio is unparalleled as the expansive and plentiful outdoor room onboard allows for comfort and relaxation. The pool deck and Jacuzzi area is located on the vessel’s tenth deck and is in concert with Silver Muse’s open-air cruising.  One deck below is the Panorama Lounge with floor to ceiling windows while one deck above is the Observation Lounge.  The Observation Lounge allows guests, while enjoying a complimentary cocktail prior to or following dinner, a pictographic, unique view from the ship’s bow.  Top-shelf libations and premium cigars may also be savored in the sophisticated but tranquil setting of the indoor/outdoor, Connoisseur’s Corner.

Additional amenities onboard include a fitness center, spa, Arts Café and Dolce Vita – an inviting lounge.  Silversea Silver Muse is tailor-made for guests wishing for luxury in a peaceful setting while taking in the wonders of the world at sea.

Following its maiden voyage, Silversea Silver Muse will continue to sail on various European itineraries from Monte Carlo, Villefranche, Venice, Barcelona, Lisbon, Southampton and Piraeus – the port in the Athens urban area and this month’s featured “Spotlight”.  The ultra-luxury vessel will reposition from Southampton to Montreal, Canada in the middle of September, followed by a “foliage voyage” from Montreal down the east coast to Fort Lauderdale for South America and Caribbean sailings.  Special Needs Group looks forward to providing service for Silversea’s newest flagship, Silver Muse, for international and domestic sailings.
