Sunrise, Florida

The City of Sunrise is located approximately half an hour’s drive northwest of Port Everglades and Ft. Lauderdale International Airport.

The area boasts several large and small venues for entertainment.  The largest is the BB&T Center Arena, home to the NHL Florida Panthers hockey team.  You can also see concerts and shows of nationally and internationally known acts, such as Billy Joel, KISS, Bon Jovi, John Legend, comedian Joe Rogan, classical artists Il Volo, and Cirque Du Soleil have all performed here to name a few.



Another great venue in the City of Sunrise is the Sunrise Civic Center.  Not only home to the Sunrise Civic Center Amphitheater, where one can find all manner of performances, the Center also contains an art gallery and aquatic center.

If you are in need of retail therapy, look no further!  The Sawgrass Mills Mall is the largest outlet shopping mall in the United States at 2,370,610 square feet.  It also features an outdoor restaurant and entertainment complex called The Oasis at Sawgrass Mills, which also includes a 23-screen movie theater.




The city also has its own 65-person professional symphonic orchestra – the Sunrise Pops, which performs at the Sunrise Civic Center.
