Rotterdam is a major seaport city in the Netherlands. The Port of Rotterdam is the largest seaport in Europe and the city has a population of over 651,000 people. Rotterdam was nearly completely renovated after WWII and it is known for its modern architecture, cultural life, riversides, along with being a major logistic and economic center.

At the center of Rotterdam lays the 2,631 feet Erasmusbrug bridge, also known as The Swan, connects the north and south parts of the city. It is the second-largest bridge in the Netherlands. This iconic bridge was featured in the Jackie Chan film “Who Am I?” in 1998. In 2005, the bridge was used as a backdrop for a performance by DJ Tiesto.
The Market Hall or Markthal, is a residential and office building. The thing that sets it apart from the rest is the market hall underneath and the architecture. The building is a combination of upper level apartments, with restaurants, food shops, and underground parking below. You will also see displays of colorful and vivid artwork around the market hall.
