Congratulations to the over 1,300 Travel Professionals who are now SNG Certified Accessible Travel AdvocateTM!
With 20% of the U.S. population with a disability we can not think of Special Needs as a Niche Market. Every group you book will probably have someone who needs some help to make their vacation comfortable. Always ask if someone traveling with the group needs help walking or requires oxygen. You want to make sure that everyone knows that you are able to accommodate their special needs!

Tip of the Month
Although it is sometimes not the easiest thing to ask it is imperative to get the correct height and weight for the guest who will be using a mobility device. If we do not provide them with the correct piece of equipment based on this information their is the possibility that the equipment will not work properly optimally. But most importantly there is the safety issue. You do not want your guest to be on a scooter, power chair or wheelchair that is either too big or too small.
SNG had it’s inaugural Scooting for ChairtyTM event at NACTA’s 2013 National Conference in Fort Lauderdale this past week.
It was a fun event to raise funds for Camillus House. Camillus House has provided humanitarian services to the indigent and homeless populations of Miami-Dade County, Florida for more than 50 years. Long time cruise executive Bob Dickinson is the Chairman of the Board.
SNG also donated a mobility scooter to Camillus House in honor of the Grand Prize Winner, Maureen Celli. Maureen is pictured below with Andrew Garnett, President and CEO of SNG and Sam Gil, VP of Marketing for Camillus House.
