Special Needs Group announces Resources to assist Travel Professionals “Deliver an Accessible World”
New Web assets, collateral materials developed and additions to staff dedicated to the Travel Professional Distribution Channel now onboard
For Immediate Release:
Fort Lauderdale, FL – March 5, 2013 With a keen focus and commitment to the Travel Agency Distribution System, Special Needs Group president & CEO, Andrew Garnett announced the first of what he calls “The SNG Travel Professional Commitment”.
“With over 1,100 Travel Professional certified as “SNG Accessible Travel Advocates™” , we have committed to making 2013 the year that equips Travel Professionals with all the resources required to effectively serve the traveling public with Disabilities and special needs” he stated.
“First and foremost, we have successfully recruited two Travel Industry Distribution veterans who are responsible for overseeing SNG’s daily interaction with the Agency/Agent Community”. Garnett indicated that Tensi Westreicher (former RCCL “Account Executive of the Year” and former “Employee of the Year” at Celebrity Cruises) has been appointed Office Manager/Executive Administrator for the Company. Maria Diaz-Pena, former award winning inside Sales Representative for Delta Vacations and most recently of SuperClubs has joined the Company as Sales and Marketing Coordinator.
“These Ladies combine to represent over 35 years of Travel Agency relationships and well documented track records of passion for delivering superior service. We could not be more delighted to have them as part of our Headquarters Family” Garnett observed.
In tandem with the personnel announcements, Garnett added: “We have recently rolled out the 1st two of what will be a robust series of accessibility sales tools/educational collateral pieces”.
“SNG’S Scooter Etiquette/Scooters Do’s & Don’ts™” along with “SNG’S Ship Accessibility Checklist™” both were recently unveiled at National Account gatherings. ‘We were most encouraged by the level of receptiveness with which Agents embraced both assets. The Agent reaction validated the need for the on-going development of these types of resources; a commitment we, as a Company, have embraced. Our next project will be the “user-friendly” portrayal of Special Needs equipment and our cornerstone web-based resource (yet to be announced) is in the final developmental stages and promises to be a game-changer for Travel Professionals wishing to effectively and efficiently serve this growing audience.” Garnett concluded.
Both resources (“SNG’S Scooter Etiquette/Scooters Do’s & Don’ts™” along with “SNG’S Ship Accessibility Checklist™” ) can be located in the SNG CATA (Certified Accessible Travel Advocate™) Resource Center of the Special Needs Group website www.specialneedsgroup.com/agents and will be featured at Trade Shows and Industry events throughout 2013.
